--- title: "LEGO Advent Calendars 2026: Contents, Price, Where to Buy" description: "LEGO's five 2026 advent calendars: set numbers, piece counts, US prices, and the price per door — plus last year's set that still undercuts every one." date: 2026-08-20 lastUpdated: 2026-08-20 author: "Nora Whitfield" url: https://advent-calendar-gifts.com/lego-advent-calendar/ site: "Advent Calendar Gifts (advent-calendar-gifts.com)" language: en-US --- # LEGO Advent Calendars 2026: Contents, Price and Where to Buy **In short:** LEGO's US shop listed five advent calendars for the 2026 season on August 20, 2026, all as pre-orders. Two of them cost $34.99 and three cost $44.99. Divide by 24 and the whole lineup collapses into two figures, $1.46 and $1.87 a door — the same two prices Brickset records for 2025. So price per door will not choose for you. Price per piece will, and it reverses the ranking. > We write buying guides, not reviews: nothing on this site has been opened, tasted or tested by us. Contents, prices and availability change every season — the retailer page you land on is the authoritative one. Most LEGO calendar coverage stops at the lineup. Five sets, five themes, pick the one your child likes. That is a shopping list, and it answers nothing about money. The interesting thing about the 2026 lineup is how little the usual arithmetic separates it. Our [method page explains price per door](https://advent-calendar-gifts.com/advent-calendar/) in general; here it produces a flat line and a better question. This page runs the division on all five sets, then runs a second one that actually distinguishes them. ## The five 2026 calendars Every number below came off LEGO's own US advent-calendar category page, read on August 20, 2026, and every one was cross-checked against the Brickset set database on the same day. The two agreed on all five. | Set | Number | US price | Pieces | Ages | |---|---|---|---|---| | LEGO Marvel | 76340 | $44.99 | 317 | 6+ | | LEGO Star Wars | 75456 | $44.99 | 293 | 6+ | | LEGO Disney Princess | 43298 | $44.99 | 290 | 5+ | | LEGO City | 60510 | $34.99 | 252 | 5+ | | LEGO Friends | 42698 | $34.99 | 211 | 6+ | One correction worth carrying with you. Several write-ups list Star Wars 75456 at $34.99. That figure is the €34.99 European price misread as dollars; the US price on LEGO's own listing is $44.99. These are pre-order listings, so treat the piece counts as LEGO's published figure on the day we read it. Pre-order specs move. Check the live page before you pay. This article contains affiliate links. If you buy through one, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend what we would suggest to a friend. Our [affiliate disclosure](https://advent-calendar-gifts.com/affiliate-disclosure/) sets out the whole arrangement. Prices on third-party sellers drift away from LEGO's own, sometimes far. Compare against [lego advent calendars on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=lego+advent+calendar&tag=advent-calendar-gifts-20) before you settle. **Recommendation:** [Building-set advent calendars](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=lego+advent+calendar&tag=advent-calendar-gifts-20) — The clearest value per door in the category, because each door is a countable number of pieces or a figure. Compare the price against a small set, and check the stated age grading for small parts. *(affiliate link)* ## Price per door: two numbers, and that is the entire spread LEGO's category page describes the product as "a new mini-build every day in the run-up to Christmas," with "24 gifts" behind the doors. That is LEGO's own language, and it is what the division below rests on. Note the wording. LEGO says 24 gifts at the category level; it does not print a separate door count on each of the five product pages that we could verify. So the denominator is LEGO's number for the format, not a per-set specification. Run it anyway. $34.99 across 24 doors is $1.46 a door. $44.99 across 24 doors is $1.87 a door. City and Friends sit at $1.46; Marvel, Star Wars and Disney Princess sit at $1.87. That is the whole 2026 range. Forty-one cents separates the cheapest door in the lineup from the dearest. Now compare against last season. Brickset's database records 2025 at exactly the same two US price points, $34.99 and $44.99, across six calendars. City 60475 and Friends 42668 were $34.99; Star Wars 75418, Harry Potter 76456, Disney 43273 and Minecraft 21280 were $44.99. Identical per-door figures, two seasons running. A metric that returns the same two answers every year, across every theme, is not measuring anything you can use. It tells you which price bracket you are in. You already knew that from the price. ## Price per piece, which reverses the answer Bricks are countable. That is what makes LEGO unusual in this category, and it gives us a denominator the brand actually publishes per set. Divide each price by its piece count, using LEGO's own figures from August 20, 2026: - City 60510: $34.99 ÷ 252 = 13.9¢ a piece - Marvel 76340: $44.99 ÷ 317 = 14.2¢ - Star Wars 75456: $44.99 ÷ 293 = 15.4¢ - Disney Princess 43298: $44.99 ÷ 290 = 15.5¢ - Friends 42698: $34.99 ÷ 211 = 16.6¢ Look at the two ends. City is the cheapest box in the lineup and also the cheapest plastic in it. Friends costs the same $34.99 and sits at the same $1.46 a door. It also delivers the fewest pieces of any 2026 calendar, which makes it the most expensive per piece on the page. Marvel is the quiet surprise. It is one of the $44.99 sets, and at 317 pieces it lands within a third of a cent of City on the per-piece measure. The extra ten dollars buys roughly proportional plastic. Two cautions before you lean on this. A piece count says nothing about what the pieces are, and six minifigures are not sixty 1x1 plates. Per-piece cost is a floor check, and it stops the cheapest sticker price from posing as the best value. ## What is behind the doors Contents below are as published by the retailer or brand on the date shown. Calendars change year to year, and listings are sometimes updated after launch — check the current listing before you buy. Everything in this section is LEGO's own product copy, read on August 20, 2026, with two additions from Good Housekeeping's August 4, 2026 report where noted. ### LEGO City 60510 The cheapest box on both measures is also the most conventionally Christmas. LEGO's listing names Santa, Mrs. Claus, three elves, a snowman and a baby reindeer figure among the seasonal mini builds and characters. Two details make this one work better than its price suggests. The box folds out into a playmat showing Santa's workshop, so the packaging is part of the toy. And the step-by-step instructions are printed inside each calendar window, which means no adult is needed to find a booklet on December 9. At 252 pieces for $34.99 it is the value pick of the 2026 lineup, and the 5+ age rating is the lowest LEGO offers this season. See [lego city advent calendar](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=lego+city+advent+calendar&tag=advent-calendar-gifts-20) listings for comparison pricing. **Recommendation:** [LEGO City advent calendars](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=lego+city+advent+calendar&tag=advent-calendar-gifts-20) — The cheapest box in the lineup most years, and usually the strongest piece count for the money. Read the age grading on the listing rather than assuming it. *(affiliate link)* ### LEGO Star Wars 75456 Here the appeal is the minifigures, and LEGO has been specific. The listing names The Mandalorian and Moff Gideon as minifigures, with Grogu and a Pit Droid as figures, all in holiday outfits. One detail from the same listing: Mando and Grogu wear complementary sweaters. Grogu's sweater shows Mando, and Mando's shows Grogu. LEGO also lists mini-build vehicles including a festive-colored X-wing, plus Blurrg, Mudhorn, Bantha and Dewback figures. At $44.99 for 293 pieces, this is 15.4¢ a piece — mid-table. The reason to buy it is the character roster rather than the plastic weight. Compare [lego star wars advent calendar](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=lego+star+wars+advent+calendar&tag=advent-calendar-gifts-20) prices before committing. **Recommendation:** [LEGO Star Wars advent calendars](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=lego+star+wars+advent+calendar&tag=advent-calendar-gifts-20) — Licensed sets sit at the higher price point, and the appeal is the figures rather than the piece total. Compare the price per piece against the unlicensed sets before deciding. *(affiliate link)* ### LEGO Marvel 76340 New to the advent lineup for 2026, and the largest set of the five at 317 pieces. LEGO's copy describes small building toys plus six Marvel minifigures with festive accessories. Good Housekeeping named those six on August 4, 2026: Spider-Man, Iron Man, Dr. Doom, Ghost Spider, Captain America and Wolverine. That is a magazine's reporting, not LEGO's listing, so treat the roster as well-sourced rather than official. Six minifigures across 24 doors is a high figure density for a calendar at this price, and the per-piece cost of 14.2¢ is second-best in the lineup. ### LEGO Disney Princess 43298 The shop files this one as Disney Princess; Brickset catalogues it under the broader Disney theme. The listing names Ariel, Cinderella, Moana and Mulan as microdolls, with Gus, Mushu, Pua and Sebastian as animal figures. Good Housekeeping adds that the box functions as a playable board game, which puts it in the same category as City's fold-out playmat: the container does something after the last door opens. One age discrepancy is worth flagging. Good Housekeeping lists this set as 6+. LEGO's own listing and Brickset both say 5+, and LEGO's listing is the one that governs. ### LEGO Friends 42698 The smallest set of the 2026 lineup, at 211 pieces for $34.99. LEGO's copy promises "24 days of adventure." The listing names three minidolls and six mini animal figures: a seal, a pony, a weasel, a polar bear, a penguin and a bunny. Nine characters out of 24 doors is a generous ratio, and it is a reasonable explanation for the low piece count: figures are single parts that carry more play value than their part count implies. The 16.6¢-a-piece figure is the honest arithmetic, and the animal roster is the honest counterargument to it. Both belong on the page. Weigh them against [lego friends advent calendar](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=lego+friends+advent+calendar&tag=advent-calendar-gifts-20) prices on the day you buy. ## Last season's Frozen box beats all five The best per-door price on LEGO's advent calendar page in August 2026 does not belong to a 2026 set. Set 43273, the Disney Frozen calendar from the 2025 season, was still on LEGO's US shop on August 20, 2026. It was listed in stock at $31.49, a 30% reduction from its $44.99 list price. Across 24 doors that is $1.31. Brickset records the set at 231 pieces and ages 5+, with Elsa, Anna and Kristoff microdolls, Olaf, Sven and two kittens. At $31.49 the per-piece cost works out to 13.6¢, which undercuts even City. So the cheapest way to put a LEGO calendar under a tree in 2026 was to buy last year's. Nothing about a 2025 set stops working in December 2026. The doors are numbered 1 to 24, and December does not know the difference. The obvious caveat is availability. A discounted prior-season set is on the shop until it is gone, and no restock is promised. If the arithmetic appeals, the window is now rather than November. ## What changed since 2025 The lineup shrank from six calendars to five. Brickset's database records six 2025 sets; LEGO's page listed five for 2026. Harry Potter and Minecraft are both absent from LEGO's 2026 advent page. Marvel is new. If you were expecting a wizarding calendar this season, that is the answer, and it is a plain absence from the category page. Piece counts moved up where the theme carried over. City went from 186 pieces in 2025 to 252 in 2026, a gain of 66 at an unchanged $34.99. Star Wars went from 263 to 293, also at an unchanged price. Those 2025 figures come from the Brickset database, not from LEGO. LEGO's own 2025 product pages are no longer retrievable, so the year-over-year comparison rests on a third-party set database with a good record. We would rather say that than imply LEGO published the comparison. The one 2025 number sourced to LEGO itself is the Frozen set above, because it is still live on LEGO's own shop. ## None of these is a toddler gift LEGO lists no Duplo advent calendar for 2026, and none for 2025 either. Every set on the 2026 page is rated 5+ or 6+. That is not an oversight in the range. It follows from what is in the box. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) enforces a small-parts rule at 16 CFR Part 1501, titled in full: a method for identifying toys and other articles intended for children under three that present choking, aspiration or ingestion hazards because of small parts. Section 1501.2 sets the scope, and it is narrow by design. The rule covers articles "intended for use by children under 3 years (36 months) of age." It expressly excludes anything "solely intended for use by children 3 years of age or older." A 5+ or 6+ LEGO calendar sits outside that band by the manufacturer's own labeling. The test itself is blunt. Under 16 CFR 1501.4, you place the article into a cylinder without compressing it, and if it fits entirely inside in any orientation, it fails. CPSC describes that cylinder as approximating the throat of a child under three. So the age rating is the safety information. A calendar built from loose bricks and minifigures is a set of small parts by definition, and there is no LEGO advent calendar for a two-year-old this season. Buying one anyway means supervising 24 mornings of it. ## Where to buy, and when All five 2026 calendars showed as pre-orders on LEGO's US shop on August 20, 2026. Good Housekeeping reported on August 4, 2026 that they become available and ship from September 1, 2026. We could not verify a 2026 listing at Target, Walmart or Amazon on the day we checked, so we are not going to tell you they are stocked there. LEGO's own shop is the only evidenced route as of August 20, 2026. Nothing suggests any of the five is a retailer exclusive either. Worth noting how this lineup was announced. There is no LEGO press release for the 2026 advent calendars that we could find. The listings simply went live for pre-order, and the coverage followed. Practically, that means the retailer page carries all the authority here. Read it for the current price, the current piece count, and the current ship date, and let it overrule anything on this page. ## Frequently asked questions ### How much is the LEGO advent calendar in 2026? Two prices. LEGO's US shop listed City 60510 and Friends 42698 at $34.99 on August 20, 2026, and Marvel 76340, Star Wars 75456 and Disney Princess 43298 at $44.99. Across 24 gifts that is $1.46 and $1.87 a door respectively. ### Which LEGO advent calendar has the most pieces? Marvel 76340, at 317 pieces per LEGO's listing on August 20, 2026. Star Wars 75456 follows at 293, then Disney Princess 43298 at 290, City 60510 at 252, and Friends 42698 at 211. These are pre-order figures and may be revised. ### Is there a LEGO Harry Potter advent calendar for 2026? No. LEGO's 2026 advent calendar page lists five sets, and Harry Potter is not among them; Minecraft is also absent. Brickset records a Harry Potter calendar for 2025, set 76456, at $44.99 with 278 pieces and an age rating of 7+. ### Is there a LEGO advent calendar for toddlers? Not for 2026. LEGO lists no Duplo or under-3 advent calendar, and every 2026 set carries a 5+ or 6+ rating. Those ratings exist because loose bricks and minifigures are small parts under the CPSC's 16 CFR Part 1501, which covers children under three. ### When do the 2026 LEGO advent calendars go on sale? September 1, 2026, per Good Housekeeping's August 4, 2026 report, which states the calendars are available starting September 1 and ship on that date. Pre-orders were open on LEGO's US shop when we checked on August 20, 2026. --- Nora Whitfield edits this site's seasonal retail coverage and spent years buying for a beauty floor.
