In short: No 2026 Red Bull advent calendar has been announced, and nothing was purchasable when we checked on August 20, 2026. What does exist is a clear record of the first one. A 24-can box reached US shelves on November 3, 2025 at $44.99 to $49.99, or roughly $1.87 to $2.08 a door.

We write buying guides, not reviews: nothing on this site has been opened, tasted or tested by us. Contents, prices and availability change every season — the retailer page you land on is the authoritative one.

Most pages about this product will tell you what is in "the Red Bull advent calendar" as though one permanent thing sat on a shelf waiting. It does not. There was a 2025 box, it was the first of its kind in the United States, and whether a 2026 box follows is genuinely unknown today.

So this page does something narrower and more useful. It records what the 2025 calendar was, prices a door, shows you how to spot an official box from a repackaged one, and explains when news would realistically arrive.

Where things stand for 2026

Red Bull North America has announced no advent calendar for 2026. Its press releases through August 20, 2026 cover a Summer Edition Sudachi Lime in April and a Spring Edition Cherry Sakura in February. The rest are event announcements. None mentions a calendar or a holiday pack.

Beverage trade press matches that. Beverage Industry's Red Bull index runs from an April 27, 2026 Summer Edition item back through January's Iced and Peach announcements, then skips to November 2025. No 2026 calendar item exists there either.

The company's own international online shop keeps a permanent Advent Calendars category. On August 20, 2026 both the international-English and German storefronts rendered it as "0 products found."

Read that as a seasonal listing that goes live in autumn, not as a discontinued product.

What the 2025 calendar actually was

Red Bull's own press release, datelined Santa Monica, November 3, 2025, called it "the first-ever Red Bull Avent Calendar [sic]." The release describes "a 24-can assortment wrapped into one covetable holiday package — available in limited quantities at Costco, Kroger, Target, Walmart, and select Circle K's."

Beverage Industry had reported it a week earlier, on October 27, 2025. Its account: 24 different 8.4-ounce cans behind a festive cartoon exterior, arriving November 3 at the same five retailers.

The format had run in Europe first. A US outlet that bought and opened a box put it plainly. The famous Red Bull advent calendar from Europe "has finally made it to U.S. stores," with the 2025 edition available from November 3.

That is worth holding onto, because it is the reason so much conflicting spec floats around. European editions and the US edition are not the same product, and the European specs cannot be verified from Red Bull's own shop right now. We do not publish them.

What was inside

Contents below are as published by the retailer or brand on the date shown. Calendars change year to year, and listings are sometimes updated after launch — check the current listing before you buy.

The Sacramento News & Review opened the US box and published the breakdown on December 24, 2025. Twenty-four cans, 11 flavors, sorted on the packaging into three groups the graphic calls "sleighs." Every flavor appeared twice, except the original and the pomegranate, which appeared three times each.

The first sleigh is the classics: Red Bull Original three times, Sugarfree twice, Zero twice. The second gathers the year-round Editions — Juneberry, Strawberry-Apricot, Fruit Punch, Elderberry and Tropical, a pair of each. The third holds the winter premieres of that season: Festive Edition Pomegranate three times, plus Winter Edition Fuji Apple & Ginger and its sugar-free counterpart, two apiece.

Three, two and two is seven. Five doubled flavors is ten more. The winter trio adds seven. That is 24 cans and 11 distinct flavors, and the arithmetic closes.

One caution before you treat that list as gospel. Amazon's official Red Bull Store listing for the same product also says 11 flavors and 24 cans. Its bullet copy, though, names White Peach, Sugarfree White Peach, Curuba Elderflower and Wild Berries. The hands-on breakdown mentions none of those.

The likeliest explanation is that the Amazon bullet recycles Red Bull's international copy while the box on US shelves shipped a US assortment. We lead with the account of somebody who physically opened one, and we flag the difference rather than splitting it.

What a door cost

Divide before you decide, as we do on every calendar we cover.

The Sacramento News & Review reported $49.99. Across 24 doors that is $2.08 a door. Yahoo's October 28, 2025 piece put the launch range at $44.99 to $49.99, and the low end works out to $1.87 a door.

The spread between those two figures is 21 cents a door, or $5.00 across the whole box. Small, in other words. Where you bought it barely changed the per-door math.

It is worth naming what the box does not do, because the door count and the can count are the same number. There is no larger 25th door, no keepsake, and no item you could not buy loose. The calendar sells the format, not a discount.

Now the second half, which is the part the arithmetic cannot do for you. An 8.4-ounce can is the small format, and you have to decide whether roughly two dollars is what you would pay for one on its own. That answer sits in the cooler at your own grocery store, not in this article.

We could not capture a current per-can price from any named US retailer on August 20, 2026 — Target, Walmart, Kroger, Costco and Total Wine all blocked the attempt. Rather than guess, we give you the break-even and let you finish it.

Official box or somebody's assembly

Energy drink calendars attract repackagers, and the tell is usually on the listing itself. On August 20, 2026 Amazon carried two versions of this product. The first is titled "Red Bull Energy Drink Variety 2025 Advent Calendar Pack" and carries the byline "Visit the Red Bull Store."

The second lists the same 24 cans at the same size, and its byline reads "Brand: too broke girls." That is not Red Bull. That is somebody buying cans and assembling a box, and the brand field says so in four words.

Prices on those assemblies are set by whoever built them, and they move with demand, not with a retailer's shelf price. That is the practical risk: not a fake product, but a real one marked up.

Check the byline before the photograph. A repackager can copy the product images, the flavor list and the word "limited edition." The seller and brand fields are structured data, and much harder to dress up.

The official listing showed no price and an out-of-stock buy box when we checked, with a note that the item could not ship to our selected delivery location. That fetch resolved to a non-US locale, so treat it as no purchasable listing observed, not as proof that US stock had run out. A general search for energy drink advent calendars on Amazon returned whiskey, makeup and LEGO boxes, with no Red Bull item in the result set.

The caffeine, written out

Company press boilerplate states that an 8.4 fl oz can contains 80 mg of caffeine, "about the same as in a home-brewed cup of coffee." One door is one can, so one door is 80 mg.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration cites 400 milligrams a day for most adults as "an amount not generally associated with negative effects." Eighty divided by 400 is 0.20. A single door is a fifth of that figure, two doors are 40 percent, and it takes five doors in one day to reach 400 mg exactly.

Across the full box: 24 cans at 80 mg is 1,920 mg of caffeine, and 24 cans at 8.4 fl oz is 201.6 fluid ounces. That is a shade over 1.5 US gallons behind the doors.

None of that is a warning. It is the number the box does not print, and it is the one a buyer might want before handing the thing over.

Who it is not for

There is no published age statement for the calendar itself. Nothing in any Red Bull release we read addresses child suitability, so the honest sources here are medical rather than commercial.

The FDA's caffeine page is direct: "Medical experts advise against energy drinks for children and teens because of the levels of sugar and caffeine, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics." It lists increased heart rate, palpitations, high blood pressure, anxiety, sleep problems, digestive problems and dehydration as effects of too much caffeine in that age group. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans, it adds, say caffeinated drinks should be avoided entirely for children under two.

The AAP's parent-facing guidance goes further still, stating that avoiding caffeine "is the best choice for all kids" and that there is no biological need for it. No pediatric threshold is offered, because the 400 mg figure is an adults-only number.

So this is an adult's calendar in practice, whatever the cartoon exterior suggests. If you are shopping for a child, bricks or chocolate suit the format far better. The LEGO calendar prices out per door about as cleanly as anything in the category.

Building your own 24 cans

A homemade version of this specific box is unusually easy to price, because every door holds one identical unit. That makes the comparison a single multiplication. No judgment call is involved.

Your DIY cost is the per-can price you pay, times 24. Against a $49.99 box, you break even at $2.08 a can. Against $44.99, the line sits at $1.87. Below that, assembling it yourself wins on money alone.

Go and read one price off one shelf, note the date you read it, and do the multiplication. That number is local, it moves, and no article written in August can hand it to you honestly.

What a DIY build buys you beyond price is control of the assortment. Red Bull's Iced Edition and Peach Edition became permanent US products on January 19, 2026, sold individually, in 4-packs and in variety packs, in both regular and sugar-free. Spring Edition Cherry Sakura and Summer Edition Sudachi Lime followed as 2026 seasonals. You can build 24 doors of only the flavors someone likes, which no sealed box does.

What it costs you is an afternoon, a box with 24 cut slots, and somewhere to hide 1.5 gallons of soda until December. Plain fill-your-own advent calendar boxes handle the frame, and a mixed case of energy drink variety packs on Amazon handles the filling.

When 2026 news would arrive

The 2025 sequence is the only pattern available, and it is a short one. Beverage Industry ran the story on October 27, 2025. The cans hit shelves on November 3, 2025. That is about a week of warning.

If 2026 repeats the rhythm, an announcement would land in late October and the box would follow within days. Treat that as a pattern, not a promise. One year is not a schedule, and Red Bull has committed to nothing.

The practical version: set a reminder for the third week of October 2026, and check Costco and the grocery chains first. Expect the window between "announced" and "gone from the shelf" to be short. Our advent calendar guides track launches across the category as they are announced.

Never bought one of these before? What an advent calendar is and when you start it covers the format itself. The calendars we point to are gathered on our products page.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Red Bull advent calendar for 2026?

Not as of August 20, 2026. Red Bull North America has announced no 2026 calendar, and beverage trade press has run no item on one since the 2025 launch. The 2025 announcement came on October 27, about a week before that box went on sale, so late October is the realistic window for news.

What was in the 2025 Red Bull advent calendar?

Twenty-four 8.4 fl oz cans across 11 flavors, grouped on the box into three "sleighs." An outlet that opened one in December 2025 recorded the classics (Original, Sugarfree, Zero) and the year-round Editions (Juneberry, Strawberry-Apricot, Fruit Punch, Elderberry, Tropical). The third group held that winter's premieres: Festive Pomegranate, Winter Fuji Apple & Ginger and Winter Sugarfree. Amazon's official listing names a partly different set, likely recycled international copy.

How much did the Red Bull advent calendar cost?

Reported prices at the November 2025 launch ran from $44.99 to $49.99, depending on the retailer. Divided across 24 doors, that is $1.87 to $2.08 a door. No current retail price could be verified on August 20, 2026, and we do not publish an unverified one.

Where could you buy it?

The November 2025 announcement named Costco, Kroger, Target, Walmart and select Circle K locations, in limited quantities, from November 3, 2025. Amazon's Red Bull Store also listed it. When we checked on August 20, 2026, no purchasable listing was visible.

How much caffeine is in the whole box?

Each 8.4 fl oz can holds 80 mg of caffeine per Red Bull's own boilerplate, so 24 cans hold 1,920 mg in total. Against the FDA's cited 400 mg a day for most adults, one door is 20 percent of that figure and five doors in a single day reach it exactly.

Is it suitable for a child or a teenager?

No age statement for the calendar has been published. The FDA states that medical experts advise against energy drinks for children and teens, citing the American Academy of Pediatrics. The AAP's own guidance says avoiding caffeine is the best choice for all kids. Both speak to energy drinks generally rather than to this product.
